Surf Shop Challenge Video
A quick video recap of the action that went down in Kitty Hawk during April. Sweetwater conquered the Mid-Atlantic qualifiers for the second year in a row securing the team a spot in the National Finals in September.

Oakley Surf Shop Challenge Champions

Ben On Surfline
There have been some descent waves here in Wrightsville after Colin,edged up the coast where it petered out in the North Atlantic. Believe it or not, Michael and I got some shots(which will be posted later) out of this poor excuse for a tropical storm. Michael Powell Comes Out on Top...AGAIN!!!
He has been crowned champion once again! This time here in his current residence of Wrightsville Beach, NC. It must feel good for the little guy. Michael bagged a cool 5K with this win and some other small prizes including a gold medal, a weatherproof canvas photograph, and a loathsome hangover.

Hurley "Rip My Shred Stick Tour"
Michael and I drove up to Onslow Beach, NC to help Hurley out with their “Rip My Shred Stick” tour this year. We hoped on the bus at some seedy little Jacksonville motel and cruised into the base at about 7:00 am. Fox College Sports Debuts Collegiate Championships →
Finally! After a little discrepancy of the date/time of the premiere showing of the competition, Fox College Sports eventually got their act together and broadcasted the contest today around 3:00 pm EST. In my opinion, they did a little better than last year putting the program together, all though, the quality of video was extremely poor. It looked as if they where shooting the action...

NSSA Surfer of the Week
Michael Powell was awarded National Scholastic Surfer Association’s “Surfer of the Week”. Michael won the gold cup for the national college mens championships in Salt Creek, California. Check Mike out!
