Tropical Storm Emily

Sitting in the heart of the Caribbean, Tropical Storm Emily’s sights are set right on the South Eastern coast of the U.S.  This alert is not a proposed Carolina School of Surf scare tactic intended to keep travelers away from the coast; it’s a bulletin informing you of the prognosis that there will be quality surf emerging this weekend.

With that said, everyone stay safe and refer to the Red Cross Safety Handbook for proper preparation: http://www.nyredcross.org/nd=hurrica#mce_temp_url#ne_safety_guide

Remember, keep your silver foil emergency blanket, scissors and some extra tight black tank tops in case a threatening situation imposes itself on us.  And, so you can create your favorite Kiss costume - I recommend Frehley’s “Spaceman” ensemble - if you really insist.

Well I went to Mexico (this pacific side) a town called Mazatlan.  The plan was to compete and do well.  This photo shows the car I rented so some friends and myself could get around.  I actually did worse in the contest than I did in picking this rental vehicle.   mp///

Surf Shop Challenge Video

A quick video recap of the action that went down in Kitty Hawk during April.  Sweetwater conquered the Mid-Atlantic qualifiers for the second year in a row securing the team a spot in the National Finals in September.
